sneak preview

So hi! I am here! I have a lot of things to catch up on here, but for now, let me just show you this: a sneak preview of the cover design of my book.

It may not be called "Scutmonkey" anymore, but I'm proud to say that the flavor remains.

More later.

  2. I love the design! And I can't wait till the book's out. I've been switching from buying books to checking them out from the library, but I might have to make an exception for yours! =)

  5. YOU'RE ALIVE!

You have no idea what coming from an Irish Catholic family does to the imagination when you don't wear from someone.

Been reading your blog for years, even before you had the book deal and the minute I read about it I knew it I'm going to have to buy it, and I will. I wasn't even in med school back then, but I am in now. Thanks for the great blog, can't wait to read the book! Greetings from all the way back in Finland. ;)

  32. Unfortunately I have to say that the name is the same as more than couple of dozen books with similar themes...

  36. Looks awesome! Can't wait to buy it! Reading doctor blogs makes me SO HAPPY! that I never wanted to be a human doctor, but a veterinarian. And when I gave it my all and I learned that "euthanizing" pets needlessly (i.e. NOT when it's all that's left we can do- ending their suffering selflessly) never feels any less AWFUL!, and I became a lab tech instead...I did the right thing. I'd love to know what a doctor knows and save lives and all... but I like having more of a work-life balance and sleeping regularly. Usuallly...except weekends like this one when I get called back to work 4x! Less than 6 hours 'til my pager gets turned off. Woohoo!

I hope that you and Joe's schedules get a little less brutal STAT. Hope next vacation is a perfect fit, too. :)

I think I'll use that before my injections next time and chuckle to myself like a crazy lady. JUST KIDDING.
